Wickepin is predominately an agricultural region with its main industry being the production of grain and merino sheep, boasting a huge number of successful stud farms.

You can view the district’s merinos at the annual merino field day held in August of each year. Studs use this day as an opportunity to showcase their produce to their continued and prospective clients from within the community and afar.
