Parks and Gardens

The Shire of Wickepin and the communities of Wickepin, Yealering, Harrismith and Tincurrin take great pride in their parks and gardens. An excellent oval is maintained in Wickepin for football, hockey and cricket with smaller cricket ovals in Yealering and Harrismith.

Over the past five years, the Shire of Wickepin gardeners have established several new, waterwise gardens to improve the appearance and sustainability of public areas.

Picnic areas are located at the Albert Facey Homestead on Wogolin Road Wickepin,  the Lake foreshore at Yealering and on the main street of Harrismith.

The Wickepin War Memorial Park is located on the corner of Johnston and Campbell Streets across from the Town Hall. A space for quiet reflection on the Australian experience of war, it features Memorial totems honouring the fallen soldiers of WW1 and WW2 and historic photographic panels.

Johnston Exercise Park in Wickepin features a great range of outdoor exercise equipment for those looking for a fresh air workout.
