The Wickepin Waste Facility new open hours come into affect today, the 1st October 2025.

The Restricted Burning Period will commence on 1 October 2025 and remain in effect until 31 October 2025. The Prohibited Burning Period will then begin on 1 November 2025.

The Shire of Wickepin is seeking Expressions of Interest from residents interested in the position of Backup/Relief Swimming Pool Manager during periods when the current Swimming Pool Manager is unable to act in this position due to sickness or leave of absence from their duties.

The shire of Wickepin invites expressions of interest for experienced professionals to join its Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee as Independent Members, in the position of Presiding Member and Deputy Presiding Member. This committee supports the Shire in fulfilling its responsibilities for oversight in areas such as internal external audits, financial reporting and risk management in compliance with the Local Government Act 1995 and associated regulations.
